“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
This book isn’t like any other I’ve ever read. Priscilla Shirer writes this story as if she is talking to a friend over coffee, but that isn’t unheard of. In fact, many people write like that. What makes her book so different from others is the way she picks apart the verses above.
Ephesians 3:20-21 are powerful verses to begin with, although I never realized how much was behind these two little verses until we picked it apart together. Each chapter takes a small phrase, or one word, out of these verses and goes in depth about what it means and how to apply it to our lives.
This book inspired me to look closely at the Bible verses I am reading. I have a tendency to just read through sometimes, instead of really letting the words sink in. Getting to see how much is packed into such a small passage makes me want to slow down and read my Bible carefully. If you want a little insight into the power behind these verses, I suggest you read this book too.
